Branson, Missouri may be tucked into the Ozark Mountains, but there's nothing quiet about its entertainment scene. Since the 1960s, the town has built its reputation on live music, with more than 100 shows running at peak season. From country and gospel to comedy and magic, Branson’s theaters offer family-friendly entertainment nearly every night of the week. The Presleys' Country Jubilee, the first show on what is now 76 Country Boulevard, still packs the house after more than 50 years.

Outside the theater lights, Branson offers experiences rooted in its natural setting and cultural heritage. Silver Dollar City, a theme park with an 1880s mining town theme, blends roller coasters with blacksmithing demos and craft festivals. It’s also home to Marvel Cave, one of Missouri’s oldest attractions, which has been drawing visitors since the late 1800s. Down the road, the Shepherd of the Hills Outdoor Drama brings Ozarks history to life with horses, pyrotechnics, and live actors under the stars.

Branson’s three lakes, Table Rock, Taneycomo, and Bull Shoals, add another dimension to the experience. Table Rock Lake, in particular, is known for its clear water and scenic shoreline. Boating, fishing, and paddleboarding are popular, but even a picnic on the shore at Moonshine Beach can be a highlight. Lake Taneycomo, with its chilly waters, is stocked with trout and draws anglers year-round. The Branson Landing Boardwalk offers views of the lake alongside a waterfront shopping and dining district, complete with a choreographed fountain show that lights up the night.
